Beijing - Hou Hai Bar Street:
There is, quite simply, no finer place to walk in Beijing.
Prior to 1911, this was an exclusive area, and only people with connections to the imperial family were permitted to maintain houses here (a situation that seems destined to return). A profusion of bars and cafes has sprung up around the lakes in recent years, providing ample opportunities to take breaks from your walk.

Beijing - Around Town and Hou Hai Bar Street- As the majority of our time in Beijing was taken up by travelling to the Great wall and touring the forbidden city and summer palace,we did ot have alot of time to tour the city itself.Although we did get to see some areas and as you will notice alot of pics were taken from our cab or quick stops. We did however get to a fantastic night spot area (Hou Hai Bar Area) that surrounds a lake with over 100 bars and restaurants. But we again had trouble with camera in getting any good night shots as you will notice below.
